Le Mont Rosty (roasted mount), so named because of its sunny position, was a small hamlet until the revolution. At this time the hamlet became almost uninhabited until the new farmhouse was built around 1860. The house is a typical lower Normandy style farmhouse surrounded by its own land. It is totally secluded as it is reached down a country lane that stretches 600 meters across fields.

The neighbour is the farmer Jean Michel Bernard who cultivates the fields. He lives about 900 metres away. As a guest you will have access to the land around the house (about 10 acres), however some of the fields away from the house will have livestock (cows, sheep, goats). Although interesting, we would ask you not to explore any of the unoccupied buildings.

From Le Mont Rosty there are distant views across the countryside with the village of Saint Planchers in the distance a mile away.

Le Mont Rosty is about 4 miles from Granville Town centre. Granville is a lovely old town full of charm. It has a population of 12,000 residents with all the amenities available in a town of this size.

If you are looking for a peaceful secluded family holiday it is an ideal setting as you are near town, the wide sandy beaches of Jullouville, Kairon and Saint Pair. Granville is in easy reach of many interesting historical towns as well as the landing beaches.
